The National Principles of Malaysia are the principles that I always adhere to. This is what I have mentioned yesterday during my speech at the PUMM Johor State Liaison Installation ceremony for the new board members. As a founder of Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia (PUMM), I believe that the national principles are the panacea that would guide the country out of its difficult plight.
Why do I say so?
Everyone would understand that at the present time, Malaysia can no longer afford a political environment with high-frequency prime minister and government policy changes in these few years. Only all Members of Parliament, and a united government that adhere to the national principles, can lead the country forward. For instance, by following the 5 national principles, all the new parliament members need to be loyal to the King and the country, not political parties. They should assist the unity government to create a more stable pro-business environment to attract foreign investment. When they were sworn in as Members of Parliament, they swore an oath of allegiance to the country, hence they should put the country first.
