I am so honored and humbled to have received the Lifetime Achievement Recognition and I hope I have brought aspirations for our new members to learn from each other and contribute together to advance PUMM Malaysia – Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia’s goals.
Time really flies, in the blink of an eye the little boy that I gave birth to has almost reached 3 decades old. PUMM has evolved by leaps and bounds since its inception in 1993, and has transformed to a Nationwide Association which is one of the biggest of its kind in Malaysia.
PUMM aims to create a valuable platform for entrepreneurs especially those business owners from SMls and SMEs, to share knowledge, experience, wisdom, and to create business opportunities. Since its forming, PUMM had worked very closely with government agencies to promote the business and economic development in the country especially among young entrepreneurs.
I envision PUMM seeking to reap the benefit of the information age and taking affirmative step forward towards making it a reality platform for Entrepreneurship for our younger generations.
It was also a pleasant surprise to meet Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on the night, and he had given a good speech, highlighting to rebuild the opportunities for young entrepreneurs in the post-pandemic national recovery. Most importantly, I think banks will play a major role in assisting B40 groups as well as our youths and entrepreneurs, for instance by lowering interest rates for penalties and late payments.
We need to turn suffer into strengths, and turn crisis into opportunities. By working together, we can always sail through the hardship and come back stronger and better.
