A Queen Forever

The news of the loss of Queen Elizabeth II was so sudden. As a Commonwealth citizen, I had a chance to meet, greet, and receive Her Majesty and Prince Philip during Her Majesty’s stay at the Palace of the Golden Horses during the Commonwealth Games hosted by Malaysia in 1998. I have initially planned to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70th year of Jubilee, by hosting a Commonwealth golf tournament on October 22 this year.

I was deeply grieved at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, but I also had hope that Her Majesty’s history and life stories would serve as a positive role model for the rest of the globe, especially the Commonwealth nations, a natural economic bloc of 2,3 billion people who share the same language, same legal system, and same standards of business.

Especially the monarch democracy system, and her reign which spanned 15 prime ministers, the British served as a model of good governance for the rest of the world and Malaysia.

A Queen FOREVER.

RIP
